The Holy Qur’an is the revealed Word of God and consists of the compiled verbal revelations given to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) over a period of 22 years. The Qur’an itself states “This is a Book which we have revealed to thee, full of excellencies, that they may reflect over its verses, and that those who have understanding may take heed.” (38:30)  The Holy Prophet (saw) said “The other Messengers of Allah had their miracles; mine is the Qur’an and it will remain so forever.”  And our Promised Messiah (as) told us: “The bounties that are bestowed upon the followers of the Holy Qur’an and the special gifts they receive are not capable of being expressed in words.”

The Holy Qur’an is a compilation of the verbal revelations given to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) over a period of twenty two years. The Holy Qur’an is the Holy Book or the Scriptures of the Muslims. It lays down for them the law and commandments, codes for their social and moral behavior, and contains a comprehensive religious philosophy. The language of the Qur’an is Arabic.
